In short

• We set no cookies for visitors and use no tracking, analytics or advertising tools.
• We embed no third-party content (no embedded map, no external fonts, no social media plugins). Fonts and images are loaded from our own server.
• The website has no contact form. You can order at your table via the QR code; no name or account is needed (details below).

Hosting and server logs

The website runs on a server from Server4You (velia.net) in a data centre in Germany. [TODO operator: check data processing agreement with host] When a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, browser identifier and referring page. This is needed to deliver the site and to keep it running and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are not combined with other data and are deleted after [TODO operator: check server log retention in Plesk].

Ordering at your table (QR code)

If you order via the QR code at your table, we store the order: table (e.g. “Terrasse 7”), the food and drinks ordered with quantity and price, your notes (e.g. “no onions”), language, time and an order number. We do not need your name, e-mail address or an account; please do not write personal details in the notes. The order is printed on a receipt printer at our till and entered into the till by our staff. You pay our staff as usual; the website does not process any payment data. The legal basis is processing your order (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Orders are deleted automatically after 30 days.

To prevent misuse (too many orders in a short time), a non-reversible check value is derived from your IP address and kept for at most 10 minutes (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The IP address itself is not stored with the order. Until you send it, your basket is kept only in your browser’s storage (no cookie) and is deleted there after sending.

Links to other services

Our site links to Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Google reviews, Instagram and Facebook. Only when you click such a link do you leave our website; from then on the provider’s privacy policy applies. No data is sent to these providers before that.

Calls and e-mails

If you call or e-mail us, we use your details only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Admin area

For the password-protected admin area (for our staff only), a technically necessary session cookie is set after login. It contains a random identifier, applies only to the admin area and expires after 12 hours at the latest or on logout. Visitors to the public pages do not receive this cookie.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Write to us at info@marktbar.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
